Hotels take pride in providing comfort to their guests at all times. They make sure that each guest will be satisfied with their service. They rely on guests, particularly loyal clients, to keep the hotel bustling.
That is why hotels try to outdo themselves to attract more and more guests. They may entice them with full size organic cotton sheets or organic robes. Others may even offer money-saving promotions once in awhile.
I have no problem admitting that I am a spend thrift. I budget down to the last penny of every paycheck. I short waiters on tips. I buy damaged canned goods. And, I even avoid turning on the heat during the winter. I have become proud of my “cheap” reputation.
Despite my pride there’s one item I could never go without – cotton socks. Since I don’t use my heat I often get cold. When my teeth start chattering, and my toes start getting numb, I pull on a pair of warm cotton socks fresh from the dryer, and it’s pure foot pleasure every time.
Don’t let dreary weather get you down. In fact, you should use the bad weather as an excuse for planning a fun get together at your home. All you need to do is plan the menu, pick up some wine, and make sure you have enough seating for your guests. If you’re worried that your cramped, little apartment won’t fit the number of guests you had hoped to invite, don’t worry!
You don’t have to settle for “standing room only,” all you need to do is scatter a few floor cushions around, and there you go, extra seating! After a glass of wine or two, your guests won’t have any problem plopping down on the floor to join discussions and share food. But don’t be surprised if you have a hard time getting them to leave.
